Eat that Frog with a Pomodoro

Let me say that It is an amazing thing and it helps a lot in overcoming my laziness and distraction. I always do things in a planned way, But I faced many things not complete on time. I was not sure that it would help me or not?

But, when I work with this technique it proves that it is helpful. Before knowing this technique I always try to set a time for a specific task but not much fruitful as Pomodoro is. The reason is that when I start work, I work for 2 hours without even taking a break. This thing badly affects concentration as well as productivity.

From this technique, I do many tasks in these 4 days. I have started reading newspapers regularly for 50 minutes with two breaks. As well as I do my PW4 Amal online course by using this technique. Another thing which I was planning to do for the last 2 months, I did that. That was about stitching a dress which was waiting for my time for the last 2 months. And due to this technique, I stitch my dress in just 3 hours. (Feeling like Oh! I am so smart).

If I talk about distractions, So yes they happen and I was feeling like distraction came up like a pop-up notification. Distraction was the TV volume which was teasing me but then I just change my sitting place and complete my work. As well as my cell phone was also a distraction so I just use the focus option(Cell built-in function) which stop all the functions of a cell phone.

So let me share the answer to the reflection questions from the course.

  1. Was this experiment difficult for you or not that difficult?

Actually, I feel that it would be difficult to do work in this pattern. But as I start work, that thought of a short time makes me a bit faster than usual. So it wasn’t difficult to use this technique.

2. Did it help you accomplish more or about the same?

Of course, a big and clear yes. I did my work with higher productivity and speed as well as work quality also better than before. YES, Accomplish more than usual.

3. Do you plan on doing this again regularly, and what will you do to improve the experience?

I am practicing this on regular basis. Because now I have a busy schedule in which I have to travel daily and if I follow my procrastination routine then definitely I can’t meet my deadlines. And thanks to Amal for introducing this beneficial tool to us.

And I am also sharing this technique with my siblings as well as, my cousins who also face procrastination behavior. So just start and defeat your laziness.
